Our wedding rehearsal took place at St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town, WV on 10-29-10
The church looked just as beautiful as I had remembered it the first time I walked in... from the moment we walked through the doors with Kevin's Uncle Paul around Christmas last year, I knew this was THE church that I had always dreamed of being married in! Luckily... Kevin felt the same way :).
The bridesmaids all practiced their parts and looked so beautiful at the rehearsal... I knew that I had picked an amazing group of girls to stand beside me and I couldn't have imagined our wedding day without all 8 girls by my side.
Since our wedding was the day before Halloween, there were a few stray pumpkins that we had to clear out before the big day... ;)
Our rehearsal dinner was held in the hall of St. Peter's Church in Harper's Ferry, WV. We chose this location because originally we wanted to be married at St. Peter's. It is a beautiful historic church, and the surrounding area is even more beautiful, but we just couldn't work out the parking situation. Both Kevin and I were so excited to be able to share the church and it's scenery with our bridal party at the rehearsal... it was just too bad that it was already dark by the time we arrived for dinner!
The food for the dinner was prepared by the bishop's chef, Rocco. His food was AMAZING and I'm so glad I was able to meet him after hearing so much about him for the past few years! A big thanks to Uncle Paul for helping us to arrange this meal!
It was so great to have two of my best friends from high school as a part of our wedding weekend. Autumn was one of my bridesmaids, and Courtney's son, Logan, was our ring bearer. Courtney's husband, Evan, who was also a member of my high school graduating class, escorted Logan down the aisle.
These days it's becoming increasingly harder to get a great picture of the three of us, but we gave it a shot!
Kevin gave such a heartfelt speech at the rehearsal dinner that brought me to tears. He is such an amazing guy and I am so lucky to have him! The rehearsal and dinner went off without a hitch, and by the time the night had ended, we were well prepared for one of the biggest days of our lives!
